Alex White
Composer & Producer
Alex studied music at The West London Institute. He joined the band "Silent Running" on EMI records, recording in Dublin's Windmill Lane studios, Richard Branson's The Manor and London's Abbey Road. Having had several UK chart singles, they toured Europe, UK and USA with Simple Minds and Talk Talk. He left the band to join Joan Armatrading, touring the world and making records. At the same time Alex worked as a top session musician playing for number one artists such as Labi Siffre, Jim Diamond, Bros and many others.
Alex began the 1990s by writing the music for several BBC series and several sport programs for SKY and CH4. He also worked on many other successful projects, including a major interactive project incorporated in the "Play Zone" section of London's Millenium Dome.
Alex became an in house writer for the publishing house Pier Southern, as well as writing and producing for Robin Miller's Scarlet Records. In the mid 1990s he became a freelance composer working for the advertising industry in the UK and the Middle East. This led to him setting up a music and production company in partnership with Notting Hill Music PLC.
Alex is an award winning composer and producer of advertising music. Working internationally, his music has contributed to many successful campaigns including Wrigleys, Nintendo, Cable and Wireless, SC Johnson, Kellogs, Shell, Currys, Vauxhall, Hasbro, Nurofen, Cheetos and many others.
